First texture I made in this Program. FXgen is indeed very nice, but still very buggy. I used mapzone already a lot and I hope FXgen will be able to compete with it someday, as it is quite limited right now.

I think the design is very nice. I think the result using this program are indeed of high quality, there is always room for improvement but this being your first attempt I think its really outstanding. People usually opt for something like Area Rugs but this design can be used for indoor flooring as well.

These photos have been created by Smashing Magazine readers in our Smashing Texture Contest. What can you do with them? You can use all textures for both private and commercial projects for free, without any restrictions whatsoever cissp test questions. However, you are not allowed to offer these files for download; please respect the interests of over 300 participants of our contest. Please also consider the license information attached to the .zip-archives you download from our server. When it comes to usage of textures, different photographers may have different opinions and intentions ccie written exam questions.

Some .zip-archives also contain further images of the same photographer. The file size of .zip-archives is between 1 and 15 Mb (depending on image resolution) which makes over 700 Mb space storage. This is also a reason why we have decided to not offer all textures in one single archive a+ training.

Thanks to try FxGen, I'm interesting by your feed back, so if you have some requests in order to ameliorate editor don't hesitate...

One of the big things, right

One of the big things, right off the bat, that FxGen could use, is something akin to MapZone's patern/shape generation. That and/or SVG import could go a long way to improving FxGen.

In the future, GLSL or Cg-based generation code (so that devs can use GPU's to generate the textures made in FxGen either in real-time or simply much faster at load time) would also help.

Finally, as mentioned on the brick texture post, some sort of "waving" or "random jitter" or "warp" or something on the like to roto-zoom might help also, tho I'm not sure if that's the best implementation. As I'm sure others have said, a look at MapZone and its higher-end tutorials could help you improve FxGen.

Finally, as an OSS-fanatic, a Blender implementation would be ungodly. Keep in mind that blender already has a method to render "nodes" naturally, if you wanted to move to there from the "brick" method FxGen employs, and I'm sure the developers would be more than helpful to making such an implementation. You might even be able to start that up at this year's Google Summer-of-Code (see if you can't get a mentor via the Blender foundation).
